• Evacuations underway as Southwest flooding threatens dam failure (newsbreak.com) — Dangerous flooding across the Southwest has reached Deming, where multiple vehicles were trapped and roads closed as heavy rain overwhelmed streets. The broader storm system, fueled by tropical moisture from Pacific hurricanes, is also threatening a dam in southern New Mexico and could bring several more inches of rain to the region through Friday.
