• Providing Traditional Foods for Indigenous Children (civileats.com subscription) — A Navajo family near Shiprock has been hauling their traditional crops to a leased commercial kitchen in Gallup—every other day for four years—to produce Indigenous baby foods for schools and families. Their Bidii Baby Foods business and farmer training program are expanding access to healthy, culturally rooted foods across the Navajo Nation while navigating major gaps in on-reservation infrastructure.
