• Southern New Mexico National Forests Seek Applicants for Resource Advisory Committee (grantcountybeat.com) — Residents in and around Silver City are being invited to apply for the reestablished Southern New Mexico Resource Advisory Committee, which helps direct federal funds to local public-lands projects. Members, who must live in New Mexico and preferably nearby counties including Grant, will serve four-year volunteer terms, meet quarterly, and influence funding for trails, roads, campgrounds, and watershed work.
