Silver City, NM — Far Fetched Productions, in association with Silver City Theatre, presents Dog Gone, a one-woman comedy written by local playwright Brenda McFarlane and performed by Hallie Harris, opening April 3 at the El Sol Theatre in downtown Silver City.
In Dog Gone, Alice leaves her marriage after one fight too many and heads home to Canada with her dog by her side. But somewhere in the Arizona desert, the dog disappears. What follows is a comic and heartfelt journey involving animal control, desert strangers, stubborn hope, and a search that becomes about much more than finding a missing pet.
Blending humor with emotional honesty, Dog Gone explores independence, resilience, and what can happen when life veers unexpectedly off course. Through Alice’s misadventures and determination, the play reveals a woman discovering her strength — and her voice — in the most unlikely of circumstances.
The production runs April 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, and 19 at the El Sol Theatre, 406 N Bullard St. Evening performances begin at 7 p.m., Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m., and Tuesday performances are at 5 p.m.
Tickets are $15, with discounts available for students, seniors, veterans, Tuesday performances, and SCCT members.
