• South Valley gets new "microtransit zone" with new bus lines and door-to-door service (citydesk.org) — Starting May 16, South Valley residents will get a new on-demand “microtransit zone” plus a redesigned Route 52 that links neighborhoods to Downtown, the zoo, and major shopping centers. Route 51 will be discontinued and partially replaced, while Routes 53 and 155 shift to busier areas. Riders can check updated routes online or book door-to-door rides via the ABQ RIDE GO! app.
   

• Can Sen. Martin Heinrich revive electrification under Trump? (nmpoliticalreport.com) — Rising gas prices are squeezing South Valley food trucks, and Sen. Martin Heinrich says federal policy changes could bring relief. In a Downtown Albuquerque roundtable, he blamed tariffs and canceled energy projects while outlining negotiations with the Trump administration over permitting reforms that he argues could quickly lower energy costs for New Mexicans.
