• Another Large Blaze Breaks Out at South Valley Recycling Yard (abqraw.com) — A large fire is burning this afternoon at a recycling yard on Broadway Boulevard SE in Albuquerque’s South Valley, sending smoke into nearby neighborhoods and closing Broadway between Rio Bravo and Prosperity. Fire officials urge residents to turn off swamp coolers to keep smoke out of homes while more than 40 firefighters battle flames involving cardboard, a building, and scrap cars.
