• 9 upstate companies nominated in ‘Coolest Thing Made in New York' contest (news10.com) — Akron’s own Perry’s Ice Cream is in the running for the statewide “Coolest Thing Made in New York” contest, giving local residents a reason to watch the voting. The Business Council of New York State will open public voting August 10, with rounds narrowing 35 products down to one winner announced in late September.
