Our Honor-A Veteran Program will begin again on Monday, October 4th after a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy will honor Joseph J. Donohue as the October Honor-A-Veteran. Donohue served as an Airborne Infantry Member and returned to Albany where he had a successful career in finance and was known for his expertise in the history of Albany and the Civil War. He passed away earlier this year, at the age of 87.

The Albany County Honor-A-Veteran Ceremony will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the Joseph E. Zaloga Post #1520, 4 Everett Road, Albany, NY 12205.

Albany County will now continue to honor a deceased veteran on the first Monday of each month for their service to our country.
