FBI: Albany woman plotted terrorist attack on New York Capitol (dailygazette.com) — An Albany woman has been arrested and charged with providing material support to ISIS after FBI investigators say she plotted to bomb the New York State Capitol just a couple miles from her home. Officials describe extensive online radicalization, surveillance of the Capitol in Albany, and the purchase of bomb components before her arrest with an inert device and firearm. She faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

2. Hochul announces $38M in statewide county infrastructure grants (dailygazette.com) — New York has awarded $38 million in county infrastructure grants, including $267,857 for an Albany County project to add a pocket park along the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail in Bethlehem. The funding will bring benches, lighting, workout equipment, and signage to enhance the trail and support nearby businesses, alongside several other Capital Region water, sewer, and housing-related upgrades.

State assemblyman expects more security at state Capitol after thwarted terror plot (cbs6albany.com) — If you visit or work at the Capitol in Albany, expect security to keep tightening after an alleged terror threat, Assemblyman John McDonald says.
