UAlbany Dining’s general manager awarded by University
Rick Jones, UAlbany Dining's resident dining general manager, receives a Student Affairs Professional Staff Excellence award

Rick Jones, UAlbany Dining’s resident dining general manager, is the first vendor partner of the UAlbany to receive a Student Affairs Professional Staff Excellence award for dedicated service, consistent advocacy and outstanding leadership on campus.
"I am humbled by this award and grateful for the opportunity to enhance the dining experience for the students of this vibrant community," said Jones who represents Sodexo, the University’s dining services partner.
As the school year ends, Jones joins a select group of UAlbany students, faculty and staff being recognized in April for contributions to their fields, their communities and the University.

“Rick’s success is grounded in the abiding philosophy that excellent customer service is non-negotiable,” said Resident District Manager Kevin D'Onofrio. “It is that mindset and that singular focus that guides Rick every day and that he instills in his management team. The customer must be first.”
Prior to a recent promotion to general manager, Jones was the Indian Quad dining director.

“Rick could be seen regularly interacting with the students whether to get their opinion on a menu item, talk about the last football game or to help them navigate their way at the smoothie station,” said D'Onofrio. “Rick continues to be a visible presence in each of the four residential dining quads at UAlbany and encourages his team to do the same.”
