Pine Island Camp

Pine Island is a non-profit summer camp, in continuous operation since 1902 that fosters boys’ independence, imagination, and character. While many camps operate as profit-driven small businesses, Pine Island stands apart as a 501(c)(3) organization. For over a century, it has provided boys aged nine to fifteen the most meaningful experiences of their lives. On a small island in Maine’s Belgrade Lakes, campers live unplugged—without electricity or running water. They gain the freedom to make meaningful choices, the support of a community grounded in shared values, and enough time away from home to feel both independent and integral to a unique community they help build. Whether your son is shy or outgoing, big or small, Pine Island will challenge him to bring out his best in the simple joys and varied circumstances of outdoor living. All of this happens under the close guidance of our caring staff, nearly all of whom are former campers themselves. Spots are limited—Pine Island limits enrollment to fewer than 100 campers each summer. A community Focused Studio for Students of All Levels

Mandala Yoga Center

Mandala, founded in 2001 by Jolie Parcher, is more than just a yoga studio—it's a welcoming and supportive community dedicated to personalized guidance and holistic wellness. There are classes for brand new beginners all the way through advanced classes and teacher trainings. Each Fall we offer local discounts to make it especially easy to get started. Right now our $50 Special is in full swing for anyone new to Mandala or who hasn’t been in for over two years. Mandala also has a not-for-profit branch, Mandala Gives, which raises money to offer financial assistance when there is need and to support our discounted Community Yoga classes (offered Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 5:30). They feature sliding-scale pricing, from $15–$30. Please join us for classes in our beautiful spacious studio on the top floor of Scoville Hall, 17 Meetinghouse la in Amagansett, the street across from Amber Waves Farm.
