• Bayshore Man Indicted for Attempted Murder in Connection With Amityville Church Stabbing (longisland.com) — A Bayshore man has been indicted on attempted murder and assault charges after a 65-year-old attendee was stabbed in the neck during a meeting at First United Methodist Church in Amityville. The victim remains hospitalized after emergency surgery, and prosecutors say the suspect was arrested near his home with the alleged weapon. He's being held on high bail and is due back in court in October.
