Native Astorian Giemay Manuel, the chef and owner, poured her passion into every recipe she crafted herself. Standouts like Sinigang Wings—crispy fried chicken with tangy tamarind dry rub—sit alongside Lechon Kawali's crisp pork belly and Dynamite spring rolls packed with spicy serrano, gooey cheese, ground chicken and vibrant green sauce.
Barkada Social Club is open 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday, noon to 1 a.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday.
Mrs. Georgia (37-10 31st Avenue, between 37th and 38th Streets)
Mrs. Georgia—a name symbolizing care and culinary mastery, per the owners—opened last fall in Astoria under Feride, Georgi, and Ekaterina, delivering Queens' first taste of Georgian cuisine with its warm, generational flavors from khachapuri to chakapuli.
The menu honors Georgia's heritage with hand-crafted khinkali, melty Adjaruli khachapuri, grilled meats, stews, and homemade desserts, paired with a full bar of Georgian wines, chacha, and Caucasus-inspired cocktails.
Eater praises the massive, fist-sized khinkali ($14–16) for their hot, savory broth—slurp fast—alongside khachapuri five ways, cheesy pastries, walnut-rich eggplant rolls, and cold chicken walnut sauce true to tradition.
Mrs. Georgia is open daily from 12 p.m. through 11 p.m. (Mon–Thu, Sun) or until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
