Astoria Jewelry Store Thieves Make Off With $19K In Goods: Police

Police released video of three people swiping pricey goods from a Broadway jewelry shop earlier this month.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — A group of people made off with $19,000 in jewelry after robbing an Astoria shop earlier this month, according to police.

The three suspects — a woman and two men — pulled off the July 12 heist at KA Jewelry on Broadway near 30th Street, according to police.

Shortly before 5 p.m., the woman used a stolen credit card to buy about $7,000 worth of jewelry, police said.

Meanwhile, while the woman stood at the store's counter, footage shows one of her accomplices reaching behind the glass and taking a display case of rings — worth about $12,000, according to police.

Police on Sunday released video of the theft and photos of the three suspects. They asked asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
