Bouncer Shot Outside Long Island City Strip Club: NYPD
A bouncer outside Show Palace Gentlemen's Club was shot early Monday after an argument, police said.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A bouncer at a Long Island City strip club was shot early Monday after an argument, police said.
The 42-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and the leg about 4:40 a.m. in a confrontation outside Show Palace Gentlemen's Club at 42-50 21st St., according to police. The gunman fled.
The man went to Elmhurst General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Since it opened in 2012, Show Palace has experienced problems with shootings, illegal drug use and cases of harassment and assault, according to the LIC Post.
State Sen. Michael Gianaris, who represents Long Island City, said after the shooting Monday that the city should close down Show Palace. Police temporarily shuttered the strip club in 2018 for promoting prostitution.
