• Town Of Babylon Renames West Babylon Street - Long Island Media Group (longislandmediagroup.com) — Babylon Town officials have ceremoniously renamed the intersection of 13th Avenue and 3rd Street in West Babylon as Captain Philip Canfora Jr. Memorial Way, honoring his decades of service to the fire department and sheriff’s office. Family, first responders, and community leaders gathered for remarks and the unveiling of the new sign, recognizing the Canfora family’s long tradition of public service. 
• Work to begin today to repair critical erosion damage on the Fire Island Inlet Bridge (news12.com) — Emergency repairs are starting today on the Fire Island Inlet Bridge in Babylon to fix severe erosion and missing concrete on the span toward Robert Moses State Park. State transportation crews will remove temporary steel plates, make critical safety fixes over about a week, and coordinate the work with the bridge’s annual inspection already underway.
