The second day of summer is another scorcher – here's what's going on that will help you keep your cool.
1. Today will be just as hot as yesterday was, if not more so! Temperatures are expected to be around the mid-90's with a ton of humidity and mostly clear skies allowing it feel like its really 105. Wear loose clothing and stay cool – check out our updatingfor more information.
2. Considering the heat might indeed raise this, the West Babylon Public Library is hosting a free starting at 1:00pm. The Visiting Nurse Service of Suffolk County will provide blood pressure screening on a first come, first served basis.
3. Starting at 2:00pm, the West Babylon Public Library will be making . Learn all about tapas, then break into groups to assemble and present your own tapas platter. Enjoy and share a variety of different flavors. Fun, non-alcoholic beverages will be served and the event costs $3.00.

4. Come cool down at Babylon Public Library at 3:00pm for a free movie showing of Love, Wedding, Marriage. The film is rated PG-13 and is about a happy newlywed marriage counselor's views on wedded bliss which gest thrown for a loop when she finds out her parents are getting divorced.
5. The Village Knitter is hosting its bi-weekly "" starting at its West Main Street location at 6:00pm. No instructions, just ideas, laughs and support. Free to attend, but buying items in the store is always appriciated.
