Babylon Students Join Suffolk County Regional DECA Competition

More than 40 business-minded Babylon High School students took part in the virtual marketing contest.

Forty-seven business-minded students from Babylon High School recently competed in the virtual Suffolk County Regional DECA Competition. Of these contenders, five qualified for the virtual New York State DECA Career Competition, which required them to take a test in their subject of choice and perform virtual role-plays to solve marketing problems.

At the state level, Brennan O’Halloran and Cal Ringstad competed in the area of team decision-making for sports and entertainment marketing; MacKenzie Busch in food marketing; Alexis Lewis in business services marketing and Catherine Shaw in entrepreneurship. According to BHS DECA adviser Claire Reilly, “We are very proud of all of these students for continuing to pursue extracurricular challenges in this very different school year.”
