Plesser's Raffling Off Pink Refrigerator for Breast Cancer Awareness

Local appliance store giving away a retro-looking pink refrigerator to raise money for Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition.

Just like other like stores in Babylon Village, Plesser's Appliances is raising money for the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition and raising Breast Cancer Awareness with a raffle.

The appliance store, nationally known for its fish tank refrigerator featured on the television show "Tanked," is raffling off a Smeg retro-style refrigerator decked out in head to toe in pastel pink, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"This is our way of giving back to the community," said Alan Howard, owner of Plesser's. The refrigerator itself is worth over $900.00 retail, according to Howard.

The appliance store will be selling raffle tickets for the refrigerator throughout the month of October and draw the lucky winner on November 1st. In addition to paying for the pink appliance out-of-pocket, Plesser's will match the amount of money spent on tickets up to $1,000 and donate all proceeds to the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition.
