Powerball Winning Numbers Drawn For $570 Million Jackpot: 1/6/18

The Powerball jackpot swelled to $570 million for the Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 drawing. The cash payout for the drawing is a not too shabby $358.5 million.

• Saturday's winning numbers are 12, 29, 30, 33, 61 and Powerball 26.

Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time. The record in the game was a $1.6 billion drawing in January 2016, which was won by a group of Tennessee workers.

There were two third-prize winning tickets worth $50,000 sold in New York in the last drawing held on Wednesday.

A second-prize winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold at a Long Island gas station for this past Wednesday's drawing.

Powerball is played in 44 states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The game is played by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball number. The odds of picking the correct Powerball grand prize numbers are, well, astronomical: one in 292,201,338.
