Student Threatens LI School, Reportedly Appears In Remote Classes
Parents claim that a student who threatened West Babylon Senior High School, appeared "with no warning" in remote learning.

WEST BABYLON, NY — A student who threatened West Babylon Senior High School, prompting remote learning, allegedly had access to and entered virtual classrooms on Friday, parents told Patch.
As shown in a video shared with Patch, and, as one parent said, the student appeared in classrooms "with no warning to students, teachers or parents that have been traumatized by the situation."
A teacher was heard crying in the video.

The student later exited the virtual classroom, parents said.
According to police, a male posted a threat on the social media app Snapchat on Thursday. The post appeared to show the student with a gun and the words "I'll start shooting, I hate that school", according to News12.

Officers responded to the male’s residence, and determined it was a BB gun, police said. Law enforcement confiscated the BB gun, police said, and the male was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
In a letter addressed to the community, superintendent Yiendhy Farrelly wrote that a second social media threat was made to the school on Thursday evening. Police are investigating if the threats are related.
The district told Patch that they had no further comment at this time.
