Viewfinder: Neon at Night

Check out the night lights of Babylon Village, as a Patch photographer snaps neon in the dark.

Neon signs were first used in America in the early part of the twentieth century. Now, nearly one hundred years later, they're still a popular means of advertising, and are often quite artistically rendered. The word "neon" means "new gas."

Now, neon is longer "new," but it still casts a colorful glow from local store windows. Click on the gallery for an entertaining stroll with a Patch photographer who snapped pictures of Babylon Village night lights.
