Denaud, a business administration and electrical engineering technology major, is a member of the student government association's e-board and serves as the student trustee on the college’s board of trustees.
“Being selected for this award means nothing to me but hope and faith,” said Denaud. “Coming to a new country to study at Nassau Community College as an international student, I doubted myself a lot as I faced the language barrier and cultural shock. Being chosen for this award showed me that I can dream no matter what my status and background is."
Denaud plans on continuing his academic career with a major in international business and hopes to work at an international non-profit organization in the future as he endeavors to support positive change throughout the world.
"I am more than grateful and blessed for the support of the SUNY Nassau community, which has made this possible,” said Denaud.
