• Town of Hempstead remembers 9/11 at Point Lookout (liherald.com) — A Baldwin school district speech pathologist shared her deeply personal 9/11 losses during the Town of Hempstead’s 25th annual memorial at Point Lookout, tying Baldwin directly to the ceremony. More than 2,000 people gathered at sunrise to honor victims and responders, with music, clergy reflections, and a moving tradition of casting carnations into the water.
