Baldwin Beach Club Property Cleared For Demolition As Neighbors Wonder What Comes Next (patch.com) — Town of Hempstead officials have approved demolishing the long-abandoned Oakwood Beach Club building at 8 Milburn Ave. in Baldwin, after Baldwin Harbor neighbors described rats, mosquitoes, graffiti and safety fears. Residents now want answers on fencing, cleanup, flood protection and whether the waterfront site could eventually become a public space. 
2. E-Biker Hospitalized With Head Trauma After Crash In Baldwin: PD (patch.com) — A 57-year-old man riding an e-bike was hospitalized with head trauma after colliding with a Dodge at Dorlon Place and Steele Boulevard in Baldwin Tuesday evening. Nassau County police say he was traveling at a high rate of speed, the driver stayed on scene, and the investigation continues amid wider county concerns about e-bike safety.
3. Woman arrested on grand larceny charges in Nassau County (newportdispatch.com) — A 39-year-old Baldwin woman has been arrested on multiple grand larceny and fraud charges after detectives say she stole a West Hempstead home through deed fraud and rented out properties she didn’t own across Nassau County. Police also report finding pills believed to be Oxycodone during her arrest, and say the investigation spans incidents from late 2025 through July 2026.
4. Former Baldwin High basketball standout's killers facing life in prison (newsday.com) — Two men have been sentenced to 20 and 22 years to life in prison for the 2022 shooting death of former Baldwin High School basketball standout Jabeon Bivins. Coaches and community leaders remembered Bivins as a hardworking, complete player, while prosecutors said the gunmen sprayed 21 shots into a crowded Queens courtyard, killing him as he tried to flee.
