(syracuse.com) — Justin Neal, newly elected to the county legislative district covering Baldwinsville and Lysander, wants county help for towns weighing data centers. His proposal comes as Democrats secure a veto-proof Onondaga County Legislature majority, giving them greater power to pursue priorities including housing, child poverty and environmental oversight.

Baker seniors Anna Caroline Kelepurovski and Mira Nadzan are among 20 students honored with Syracuse.com's 2026 Best and Brightest Awards. Kelepurovski combines writing with work at Baldwinsville Public Library and community service, while Nadzan brings student perspectives to the school board and hopes to pursue neurosurgery.

Baldwinsville girls swimming captures Falwell Cup; swimmers compete in state qualifier (syracuse.com) — Baldwinsville girls swimming won the Falwell Cup at Friday's Section III state qualifier, finishing 11 points ahead of Jamesville-DeWitt. Brianna Cooper won the 200-yard individual medley and Olivia McManus took the 100-yard butterfly as the Bees topped the standings at Nottingham High School.

Oswego County TodayOswego County Sheriff's Office Blotter — November 6, 2026 (oswegocountytoday.com) — A Baldwinsville resident was arrested November 3 on a bench warrant issued out of the Village of Phoenix, according to the Oswego County Sheriff's Office. Robert W. Ballard, 46, was arraigned in CAP Court, but the November 6 blotter does not identify the underlying charge.
