Bay Shore Residents Approve School Budget
Bay Shore residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect a new board member.

BAY SHORE, NY - Bay Shore residents approved the district's $159,398,062 proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 1,262 to 399.
The budget represents a 2.28 percent spending increase over the current year and a tax levy increase of 2.4 percent.
In the vote for Bay Shore Board of Education members, Andrew Arcuri beat out both Nic Scott and Thomas Falconer for the one open seat available. Arcuri received 715 votes while Falconer received 585 votes and Scott received 325 votes.

Arcuri will be serving a 3 year term.
