BAY SHORE, NY - Bay Shore High School senior Dallas Pigate recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
A member of Boy Scout Troop 153, Piagtes's service project benefited the Guide Dog Foundation and America's VetDogs of Smithtown.
He led his troop in the construction of training equipment for the foundations, including puppy steps, agility ramps, wobble boards, A-frame obstacles and interaction sensory cubes.

The equipment will help the foundations train puppies to be service dogs for those with sight disabilites and for military veterans.
