Free Parking Initiative In Bay Shore To Kick Off This Weekend

BAY SHORE, NY - Town officials announced that there will be free in all of Bay Shore’s parking lots starting this Saturday.

The initiative kicks-off on “Small Business Saturday” and will continue through New Year's Day.

The free parking will apply to all metered parking in Bay Shore, including the back lots.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our communities. I encourage everyone to shop your local small business, not only on Saturday, November 25th, but throughout the holiday season and beyond," town supervisor Angie Carpenter said. "Small businesses employ our local youth, and provide a level of customer service unique to the downtown shopping experience."

Last year a reported 112 million shoppers nationwide joined the cause, spending approximately $15.4 billion at their favorite local shops.
