
BAY SHORE, NY — Just a few months after opening its first Long Island store, Hobby Lobby has announced the opening of a second location in Bay Shore.
"Hobby Lobby is constantly looking for new locations to serve our customers better," a spokesman for Hobby Lobby said.
There are currently 16 Hobby Lobby stores in New York state. The first Long Island store in Commack opened in June.

"We have many loyal customers in the area and look forward to opening a store in Bay Shore," the spokesman said.
The new store will be located on 2060 Sunrise Highway at the site of the former Pathmark, according to a report in Long Island Business News.

The Bay Shore location is projected to open in early 2018 and will bring between 35 to 50 jobs to the community.
The store will carry more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products including floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, wedding supplies, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies.
Store hours will be Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. All Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
