Intruder Shoots Couple Inside Their Bay Shore Bedroom

BAY SHORE, NY - Police are searching for a gunman who shot a couple inside a bedroom in their Bay Shore apartment Saturday night.

According to police, Jerome Ruddock, 28, and Mia Anderson, 20, were in their apartment located at 15 Hemlock Drive in the Lexington Village Apartment Complex, at about 10:45 p.m. when a man with a handgun entered their bedroom.

The man began firing his weapon, striking both Ruddock and Anderson, police said.

Ruddock and Anderson were transported via Brentwood Legion Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
