Local Organization to Host Unity Rally Thursday Night
The event will take place the day before the presidential inauguration of President-Elect Donald Trump.

A Massapequa-based organization will be hosting a unity rally the day before the presidential inauguration of President-Elect Donald Trump in Bay Shore.
The event, which was created by the Long Island Progressive Coalition, will take place on Thursday, Jan. 19 starting at 5 p.m. at the LGBT Network Center located on 34 Park Avenue.
The rally is to show that Long Island is "united against racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, sexism, and homophobia no matter who the President is," according to a description of the event.

Attendees will be speaking out, hearing from affected communities and the organizations that are prepared to protect them, and using art to demonstrate our unity.
The Long Island Progressive Coalition is a community based organization which promotes revitalizing local communities, creating effective democracy, and achieving economic, racial and social justice.
