Man Fatally Struck by Car in Deer Park
BREAKING: It happened Friday night, police say.
DEER PARK, NY – A 60-year-old Bay Shore man was struck and killed by a car in Deer Park Friday night, police said.
According to police, Nicholas Correa was attempting to cross Commack Road at intersection of Grand Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m. when he was struck by a 2004 Cadillac that was heading south Commack Road.
Correa was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, a 43-year-old Brentwood man, will not face any criminal charges.
The vehicle was impounded and the investigation is continuing.
