Bay Shore Man Stabbed 10 Times At LIRR Station, 2 Charged: DA (patch.com) — A Bay Shore man has been indicted on a second-degree murder charge after prosecutors say he fatally stabbed a 34-year-old man multiple times during a late-night confrontation at the Bay Shore LIRR station in July. Authorities say the suspect fled New York but was later captured in Pennsylvania, and he is now being held without bail while a teenage co-defendant also faces murder charges.

Bay Shore football celebrates 100 years of program history with memories and a victory (newsday.com) — Bay Shore residents just watched their high school football program celebrate its 100th anniversary with a special alumni ceremony and a nail-biter 8–7 win over Patchogue-Medford at Cliff LaPlatney Field. Generations of Marauders, from 1940s Rutgers Cup champions to today's players, reunited to share memories, honor past coaches, and connect current athletes with the program's proud local legacy.

West Islip man indicted for manslaughter, DWI, leaving scene of Robert Moses Causeway crash (news12.com) — A 27-year-old Bay Shore man was killed in June while walking along the Robert Moses Causeway, and a West Islip driver is now indicted on manslaughter, DWI, and hit-and-run charges. Prosecutors say the driver was drunk and high when his vehicle veered off the road, struck the pedestrian, and then left the scene before calling police about half an hour later.

4. Victory! New York Senate Passes Landmark Right to Repair Bill (ifixit.com) — Bay Shore's own state senator, Philip Boyle, is highlighted for sponsoring New York's landmark Digital Fair Repair Act, which just passed the State Senate and aims to make it easier and cheaper to fix electronics. While the Assembly may not vote this session, supporters say the bill could save New Yorkers money, cut e-waste, and boost small repair shops when it eventually becomes law.
