Tip Jar Thief Caught Stealing Again 1 Day After Arrest: SCPD

The 29-year-old was caught stealing from a third business less than 24 hours being charged with 2 other thefts this month, police say.

BAY SHORE, NY - Just one day after he was arrested for stealing tip jars from two Bay Shore businesses, a Middle Island thief struck again at a third Bay Shore business on Tuesday, according to Suffolk Police

Officers responded to a report of money stolen from a tip jar at Bango Bowls on 68 East Main Street at 7:40 a.m., police said.

A short time later, Officers Francis Gigante and Steven Damico found 29-year-old Khari Cuffie at the corner of Third Avenue and Union Boulevard and arrested him., police said

Following an investigation, it was determined that Cuffie was also responsible for stealing money from a tip jar at the same location on September 5.

He was charged with two counts of petty Larceny for the Bango Bowls incidents. He was also charged with a parole warrant.

Cuffie's arrest comes less than 24 hours after he was arrested on Monday afternoon for stealing tip jars from two other Bay Shore businesses earlier this month, police said.
