3 People Killed, 1 Hurt In Wrong-Way Crash In Queens: Report

DOUGLASTON, QUEENS — A wrong-way crash on the Grand Central Parkway early Saturday morning left three people dead and one critically injured, according to news reports.

Authorities told the New York Post that one driver was heading the wrong way down the westbound side of the highway, then collided with another car near the Cross Island Parkway exit about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

Two men in the first vehicle were rushed to the hospital, where they died. A man who was in the second car is in critical condition, and a female passenger who was with him was killed.

Authorities temporarily closed lanes in both directions on Grand Central Parkway following the crash. The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is reviewing the case.
