Body Found In Alley Pond Park Was Teen Member Of MS13, NYPD Says

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A body discovered by police in Alley Pond Park has been identified as a teenager who was stabbed to death, the NYPD said.

Julio Vasquez, 16, was found with multiple stab wounds to his chest and back. The decomposed body was discovered by a bird-watcher in a heavily wooded area of Alley Pond Park on the corner of 76th Avenue and Cloverdale Road around 2 p.m. Sunday, police said.

It was not immediately clear how long the body had been there.

Vasquez, who lived in Jamaica, was a member of the MS13 Gang, according to police.
