Council Member Paul Vallone's Aging Town Hall

Council Member Vallone's office will facilitate an information session about the recently passed SCRIE and DRIE programs in New York City.

On July 14th, 2014, the household income to qualify for SCRIE (Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption) and DRIE (Disability Rent Increase Exemption) programs increased to $50,000.

Council Member Vallone’s office will facilitate an information session about these programs with the assistance of the Department of Finance (DOF), the Department for the Aging (DFTA), the Council for Senior Centers and Services (CSCS), and the Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JASA).

This session will include an overview of aging-related programming, eligibility requirements, the application process and what happens after an application is submitted followed by a Q&A session and enrollment.
