• Multiple fire departments extinguish blaze behind business in Locust Valley (news12.com) — Bayville firefighters joined crews from Locust Valley, Sea Cliff, and Glen Cove to knock down a fast-moving truck fire behind Forest Iron Works in Locust Valley on Monday afternoon. About 50 firefighters brought the blaze under control in 35 minutes, limiting damage to a van, dumpster, and the building’s exterior. No injuries were reported, and officials credited the quick multi-department response.
