BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A Texas doctor in New York City to help fight the new coronavirus had $11,000 worth of jewelry and clothes stolen from her hotel room, police and reports said.

The burglary unfolded Saturday in The Brooklyn Hotel between Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights, where security footage captured a woman suspect walking down a hallway.

The woman forced her way into the doctor's locked hotel room at about 9 a.m. and stole clothing and jewelry.

The victim was a doctor from Texas in town to help fight the new coronavirus, the New York Post first reported. She was staying at the Atlantic Avenue hotel.
