5 Injured In Bed-Stuy Blaze, Says FDNY

Five people were injured in a fire on Tompkins Avenue Monday morning, said police.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Five people were injured in a fire on Tompkins Avenue Monday morning, said the FDNY.

Firefighters rushed to extinguish flames which erupted on the first floor of 400 Tompkins Ave. around 8 a.m., said an FDNY spokesman.

Five people were injured in the fire but it was not immediately known how seriously, according to the FDNY.

The blaze had been extinguished by 9:30 a.m., said the FDNY.
