Accused Subway Floor Sex Abuser Ambushed Woman 1 Day Later: DA

Daniel Jean Pierre molested one woman in a 4 train and another in a Brooklyn alley less than 36 hours later, prosecutors allege.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN -- A Bed-Stuy man accused of sexually assaulting a women on a subway car floor allegedly molested another woman in a Crown Heights alley less than two days later, prosecutors said.

Daniel Jean-Pierre, 37, was charged Thursday with ambushing the woman on Eastern Parkway near Bedford Avenue on Jan. 18 at about 11:10 a.m., one day after he attacked and robbed a 27-year-old on a Brooklyn 4 train, prosecutors said.

Police nabbed Jean-Pierre after two passersby who witnessed the alleyway assault, called 911 and prompted a neighborhood canvas, said prosecutors.

Jean-Pierre also stands accused of pulling off a woman's underwear, assaulting her then stealing $47 in cash, a cellphone wallet case and headphones on a 4 train near the Franklin Avenue on Jan. 17, police and prosecutors said.

“This defendant allegedly prowled our subways and streets for two days preying upon women and spreading fear throughout our community," said Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez.

"We will seek to hold him fully accountable and remain committed to seeking justice for sexual assault victims.”

The Bed-Stuy man was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court Thursday on a 15-count indictment that includes charges of robbery, sexual abuse and assault charges, the Brooklyn District Attorney's office announced.

Jean-Pierre was held on a $100,000 bail and ordered to return to court on April 10, said prosecutors.
