Attacker Screams Anti-Gay Slurs And Breaks Man's Jaw, Police Say

The assault is being investigated as a hate crime, said police.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the man who screamed anti-gay slurs at another man and broke his jaw.

The suspect began spewing slurs at the 27-year-old victim on the corner of Fulton Street and Franklin Avenue around 4 a.m. Saturday, police said.

He then threw a punch, broke his victim’s jaw and fled, said police.

The victim was rushed to an area hospital for treatment, said police.

Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect wearing a white tank top, dark pants and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about the incident, which is being investigated as a hate crime, is asked to contact the NYPD.
