Bank Robber Hits Bed-Stuy Bank, Police Say

A man ran off from a Chase Bank on Bedford Avenue with $1,000 on Wednesday, authorities said.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A bank robber struck a Chase branch in Bed-Stuy and ran off $1,000, authorities said.

The marauder is a man who walked into the Bedford Avenue bank Wednesday at about 3:35 p.m., NYPD said.

The man slipped a teller a note demanding money and received $1,000, authorities said.

Surveillance footage shows the man walk out of the 975 Bedford Ave. bank and head north on Bedford Avenue, authorities said.
