Bed-Stuy Baby Dies After Brutal Shaking: Police And Reports
Gianni Gilmore died in Woodhull Hospital three days after police found him unconscious in his Gates Avenue home, police said.

BEDFORD STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — The Bed-Stuy baby who was shaken until he was brain dead has died, according to police and reports.
Six-month-old Gianni Gilmore died in Woodhull Hospital on Friday, three days after police found him unconscious in his Gates Avenue home, said police.
“Gianni was braindead,” his mother, Sara Julien, 22, told the New York Daily News.

His father, Statwaun Gilmore, 24, was arrested on child endangerment Thursday but charges were dropped and he released Friday, the New York Post reported.
The Medical Examiner’s office has yet to determine the cause of death, police said.
