Bed-Stuy Muggers Spew Hate Speech Then Steal Phone, Cops Say
Two homophobic muggers targeted a young man in Bed-Stuy earlier this month, police said.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN -- Police are looking for two bigoted thieves who stole a man's phone and derided his sexual orientation, police said.
The muggers cornered a 29-year-old man on Brevoort Place near Franklin Avenue shortly after midnight on Thursday, June 7, police said.
They stole a cellphone from the young man, spewed their hate speech, then fled toward Lefferts Place, police said.

Police are now looking for two men in their mid-20s. One stands about 5-foot 8-inches, weighs 145 pounds and was last seen in a jean jacket, black glasses, white shoes and a blue baseball cap.
The other man stands about 6-foot 2-inches, weighs about 190 pounds, and wore a black vest, black pants with white stripes and stars, red shoes and a red baseball hat.
