Bed-Stuy Shooters Left 1 Man Dead, Another Injured, Cops Say

Three men are wanted for fatally shooting Robert Fason and critically injuring another man in Bed-Stuy Saturday morning, police say.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A Brooklyn man was killed and another man critically injured when an argument erupted in violence on a Bed-Stuy street corner, police said.

Robert Fason, 44, was fatally shot in the chest and a 43-year-old man was shot in the neck during a fight with three other men outside 1639 Broadway at about 6:25 a.m. Saturday morning, police said.

The three men jumped into a white two-door sedan and sped away, heading north on Broadway, police said.

Emergency responders found Fason lying in front of 693 Decatur Street, more than two blocks away from where he was shot, and pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

The 43-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.

Police released surveillance footage of the three suspects, all in their 30s, late Sunday night.

The first man sports a red Allen Iverson “Sixers” jersey with a number three on the front, the second had a ponytail and wears a red baseball cap and the third has a grey baseball cap.
