Bed-Stuy Toddler's Death Investigated By Police
Police are investigating the death of two-year-old Byrson Figueroa, whom they found unconscious in the Vernon Houses Thursday morning.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A toddler’s death in his Vernon Houses home early Thursday morning will be investigated by police.
Police officers found Byrson Figueroa, 2, unconscious in an apartment on Vernon Avenue near Marcus Garvey Boulevard after responding to a 911 call around 3:20 a.m., police said.
Emergency responders rushed the small boy to Woodhull Hospital but doctors where unable to save his life, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing and the Medical Examiner will determine what caused the toddler’s death.
Police said the boy showed no obvious signs of trauma and did not have any ongoing medical issues.
