Bed-Stuy Woman Fatally Stabs Bushwick Man In The Neck, Police Say

Octavia Elliot, 31, faces murder charges for the death of Ramel Patterson in her Bed-Stuy home.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A Bed-Stuy woman stands accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend in the neck Sunday morning, according to police and reports.

Octavia Elliot, 31, allegedly stabbed Ramel Patterson, 33, in her home on Pulaski Street near Stuyvesant Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Emergency responders, who found Patterson with two stab wounds on his throat and arm, rushed the unconscious man to Kings County Hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life, said police.

Elliot was taken in for questioning shortly after the stabbing and was charged with murder Sunday afternoon, police said.

Elliot, who was in a relationship with Bushwick man, threw a bloody knife out the window of her fifth-floor apartment that was later found by investigating officers, a police source told am New York.

The police source also told am New York that Elliot has 10 prior arrests that include allegations the she used a screwdriver to stab her child’s father in the hand, face and back in 2013.

Court records show her arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending as of Monday morning.
