Last night I had the pleasure of attending a 70's party sponsored by the Transitions foundation Inc in honor of Black History Month. For a couple of hours I was transported back to 1970 something including a huge amount of black pride! It was a subtle reminder to me of all the many accomplishments of my people but more important a feeling of village and family. Oh and what would a 70's party be without a soul train line! Did I say I love BedStuy!
