Why I Live in Bed-Stuy

I moved to Bed-Stuy almost two years ago from Seattle, Washington, and I have lived here ever since.

That's not to say that I haven't moved -- I have moved from apartment to apartment, all the while staying in Bed-Stuy because I love it here.

Despite most of my friends living in Manhattan and not really knowing a lot of people in Bed-Stuy, I know it is the place for me.

I love my corner bodega, the walk to the M train, how lively Bed-Stuy is at all hours. I look forward to the block parties. I appreciate the sense of community there is with my neighbors.

I'm home. Bed-Stuy is home.
