Brooklyn Man Fatally Stabbed 52-Year-Old In The Neck, Cops Say

Andre Jones has been charged with the murder of Mills Akintunde in Bed-Stuy last month, police said.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN -- Police arrested the man they believe stabbed another man in the neck last month.

Andre Jones, 40, was arrested Friday for fatally stabbing Mills Akintunde, 52, in Bed-Stuy on Sept. 28 at about 5:55 p.m., police said.

Emergency responders rushed Mills, whom they found lying unconscious on the sidewalk near the corner of Franklin Avenue and Hancock Street, to Interfaith Hospital where he later died, said police.

Jones, who lives in Prospect Heights, was arrested at about 6:30 p.m. Friday and charged with murder, police said.

Jones is slated to be arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court on Monday, city records show.
